    Kim, it took a second for that one to register! Is that an actual flag wrapped around her, or is it a skirt made to look like the flag?

    I so wanted to get a Japanese flag shot, especially since yesterday was the four month anniversary of the big quake/tsunamis, but they just aren't displayed as much as we're used to in the US. I couldn't find one anywhere around here! So, I give you carp flags instead.

  2. Isn't that interesting? The German nationalistic spirit struck me both times we have lived here. Tends to be a lot of political fervor. My son was mentioning there seem to be a lot more cars with flags here than in the States. This woman was heading to a demonstration and was wearing a flag wrapped around her like a skirt.

  3. Such nice pictures for this theme!

    The first almost let me "taste" a North America prairie.

    The second made my proud European blood sing.

    And the third made me desire even more to visit Japan.
